They both look nice. the lighting and focus look good esp #1.
Did you do any skin smoothing on #1?

Both are nice, but pic 1 is the best, imo. Doesn't appear overdone at all. Nice tight crop and a beautiful girl. Is she wearing contacts in pic 1? There seems to be a glaze of some sort over her pupils...

#1 is very nice. #2 looks like the focus is slightly off.

I agree with swjim, the first photo is very nice. The second is slightly out of focus, if it were to be in focus I think that it would be great also.

Great pictures!!!
I will give you a little tip that works for me. You might not like the idea.
I don't like to have dilated pupils that big in my photos. If you work with low light, that is a common to see the pupils like that.
I have my assistant to hold small light between shots trying to aim the model, so when is time to shoot, the pupils will be small. So during shooting time the assistant turn off the light.

I like both shots but the contacts have got to go.

Can't add anything more than has already been said above. The first is very nice and also IMO, not overdone. The second would have been with it had it been in focus. :)

@fidelfs

thats very interesting. i will see if she's down with that next time lol.

but at the same time, the contact she uses also gives the effect of enlarged pupils. eh..go figure =P

I agree the skin smoothing was not overdone as well, just curious as i could just make out a little texture still. Nicely done and thank you for sharing.
Best, Doug
