I know a little about digital scrapbooking  but wondering where to get "manly" PS components like these ... https://photography-on-the.net …=1101151&highlight=poster Like the fire, smoke, lightning?

I saw someone uses Woody Walters Digital Photography Candy which is kind of what I am looking for but was hoping for MUCH cheaper and maybe a little bit more of seperate components that I can layer myself more than something that is already put together.

Thanks!

Here are a few quick points, these are not rules to live by, but I think they would help you in this situation.

1. Texture in the background is nice.

2. Make the subject larger. There is too much empty space.

3. If you have another photo you can try the mirror image like this one. In this photo i used the same image, I think it's better with a different image in the background.

4. Your main subject shouldn't be transparent.

5. Use some shadows and outlines on your text.

6. Team Logo would be nice.

7. Ugly fonts make for ugly compositions. Find some new fonts to use. http://www.1001freefonts.com (external link) , www.dafont.com (external link)

Hope this helps.

Great tips!!! Thanks!

I think I'll start completely over but good things to think about. The main problem I am having with all of the pictures is that half of his shoe/hand are often missing in the pictures becaue they are IN the grass. :/ Not sure to handle that (without putting smoke in front of it) ?

Cover it with the text or a graphic. The bottom of the shoe and ball were missing on mine. :)
