Canon DSLR Speed Challenge #270: Still Life

Thanks Timothy, thanks everyone. Gee, I thought this challenge could have gone in any direction, there were so many good entries. Bravo to you all.

Teekay, it's a ladies small purse, a clutch. I was doing a shoot for our local news website, highlighting a merchant in town, and this little bag caught my eye. I took several photos of the store and was waiting for the ladies to finish with their customers so I could get their group shot. So while I waited, I grabbed the purse, took it over to a shelf I could prop it on, and flipped around a plain leather portfolio to serve as my back drop. I used an onboard flash with a small softbox that fits over it.

Hit the streets, I've got a topic for the next challenge which I will post after my afternoon nap. I just finished walking half of Manhattan with MDJAK.

Okay, the next challenge is posted. I dunno about you guys, but I feel we photographers sometimes need a weekend to get our images done. So I hope you all accept the idea that I extended the challenge to include most of a complete weekend. Let's face it, it's hard to get anything done during our work periods , so why not allow us a weekend?

I'll change the timing if folks think otherwise.
