Chloe and Sis

Hello,

Here is another one of my craigslist shoots. This time I was contacted by Chloe who is attending the University Of Mississippi. C&C always welcome!!

1. Chloe

1 and 2 and last could use a bit of dodging to lighten the shadows on the right side of the face and the last clone that bit of hair at top. I really like the composition, the backgrounds are interesting and the outfits contrast it perfectly.

I've never been good at dodging because I can never get it to look natural. What settings do you use? I just noticed the hair after I uploaded it, so I'll fix that.

i use lightroom for dodging, its much easier and more control increasing or decreasing the effect afterward, Photoshop is tough because you have to get the pressure right.

if you use Photoshop, duplicate the layer, dodge or burn and then drop the opacity of the layer to dull down the effect.

I think this looks great, just look out when composing, #3 is missing part of the foot.

It seems I have more control if I just turn the tool exposure to 40 or 50.

I have had eye surgery to improve the vision in my left eye. It has been successful but while the eye is healing the vision is worse than before the surgery.

I am left eye prominent and since the surgery I have been framing in the viewfinder using my right eye. I have noticed that I don't automatically place my eye as close to the viewfinder as I did when framing with the left eye and will sometimes unintentionally cut off parts of an image. Usually, the problem is at the bottom of the image.

Like in this shot of cutting off part of the dog's paw...
