My first post here guys. Thanks to all of you for your knowledge in all the posts that have been racing through my brain the past several weeks.

I recently bought a Canon T4i/650D and I am interested in the Yongnuo YN-568EX flash, mainly for the HSS capabilities. My question is can the HSS feature of the YN-568EX be used off-camera with the T4i without using HSS-enabled triggers like the YN622C? If so, what are the different possibilities?

Thanks In Advance!

None of the Canon cameras with master capable popup flashes support off camera HSS. You need a master flash like a 580ex, 580ecii or the new 600 in the hotshoe for that.

The 568EX is great but doesn't shoot HSS offshoo without trigger. With the 622c you can control the flashes in camera too. I like the 568 and 622 combo.

Does the 568+622C work in HSS mode OFF camera and in manual(flash) mode?
