A recent work trip took me to California. What a blow to be somewhere sunny and warm in January. Certainly nicer than it is here in Chicago. Anyway, a bit of spare time on the trip allowed me to visit a couple of airports.

Thanks for the nice comments. I was at Imperial Hill on Thursday afternoon. A few people were there but mainly with Nikon gear that I saw. I was using my 10D with the 100-400. I must say, it holds focus a lot better on those sunny days compared to a dull Chicago winter day!

Impressive shots. My fav is the Delta 757 taking off. It has some background and the heat distorton coming out of the engines looks good.

I'd heard a lot about the burger place and they were right about the location. Wasn't so impressed with the food but a small price to pay. Then again, plenty of people were on the grass across the road. Why was I the one the cops came to talk to? Guess the white lens gets more attention. They were really cool and we spent most of the time discussing cameras.

Great shots

Is there a story to the all white 747 with no markings?

Should I ask that question......?

Nice shots, but 18 shots are far too many of them for the 56K users!
Sticky: Guidelines on posting images At the top of each photo sharing forum, you'll see the guidlines.

What a blow to be somewhere sunny and warm in January.

"Round Thing Shines in the Sky"! The local paper pointed out last week that we've had 14 minutes of sunlight since December 19th!

Thanks for updating the title. I hoped the white 747 would be something a little "interesting" but zooming in on the original shows the name Tradewinds on the side. Guess I shall have to wait for another day to get my scoop!

Ouch. Getting "fixed" without even feeling it! I had better tell my wife! Pekka is all-powerful!
