I apologize if this is against the rules but I didn't see rules for this section.

Hal Schmitt of LIGHT Photographic Workshops in Los Osos, California, has partnered with Elephorm online tutorials. I have taken at least a dozen in person classes from Hal (who is a retired Navy fighter pilot and two time Top Gun trainer) as well as many other internationally known instructors and consider Hal to be the best photography software instructor on the planet. He is technically excellent but more than that he just knows how to impart knowledge.

OK, to the point -> http://en.elephorm.com …-4-complete-training.html (external link) which is their regular Lightroom 4 class available for free until the end of January (2013.)

[Disclaimer: Hal/Elephorm didn't ask me to post this and don't know I'm posting it. While Hal is a personal friend, this post is simply about making this resource known. Again, if I have broken a rule or upset anyone I apologize in advance.]

I took Hal's Lightroom 4 class at LIGHT Photographic Workshops when it first replaced LR3 and it was super.

It says FREE but when I checkout, it shows $50?
Am I missing something.
Thanks

$50 is the regular price. Go to http://en.elephorm.com …-4-complete-training.html (external link) and scroll down to the list of sections and press the arrow/triangle in a white circle (small) on the first one. Don't click 'Buy' or any of that stuff. I had no problem at all. If you continue to have issues either let me know or contact them directly ... I have no different/better access than you do.

I was confused at first too since "free" looks like it should be a button. Just start the movie and it runs through each section, one after another ... or pick your poison :)

Thanks for the link Dwight!

If you have any feedback on the tutorials just post in here. Hal is a member of POTN although not active ... he is amazingly busy, currently in Alaska working at an oil rig (a long and complex story) ... and I'll point him at it at some point when he gets back.

Yup! IMHO he is not the greatest photographer or the most creative or the most technical (I've known Hal about six or seven years) but again, IMHO he is the best instructor in the world: he intuitively knows how to convey difficult concepts. In a classroom full of hugely disparate knowledge and ability he just knows how to give everyone what they need.
