How about introducing a post limit so they can't post links on all forums to 100 to stop spamming?

Without active linking the URL's would still be visible as text - spammers do not neccessarily want clicks, they mostly want search engine indexing of keywords + URL.

There is a time limit between threads which tends to slow them down. Once reported we usually get them pretty quickly. sometimes 6 or 7 before they feel the hammer.
