Hi All

I am looking at hiring the Canon 10-22 or the Tokina 11-16 for use on the 7D.

The f2.8 on the Tokina appeals because of the possible use indoors with only ambient light...............but not so good if you have to stop it down to maintain edge to edge sharpness??? Apart from indoors it will be cityscape usage mostly in narrow possibly shadowy streets.

So TIA for any user insight/experiences of both these lens :D

That was a great meal ~ you must have a good set of pans :p

Thanks Adrian :) , yes from what I have read so far the Tokina gets some respect.

I don't have the 11-16, but I do have the 12-24 f4.

I'm not sure how the 11-16 behaves, but the 12-24 does exhibit significant blue-yellow fringing, nothing that shooting RAW can't fix (Lightroom corrects that automatically -if I ask it to). So that's definitely something you want to check about the 11-16. I borrowed a 10-22 for a single shot one day and I recall it being optically superior, however, that's the opinion after taking one shot, not hundreds as I have with my 12-24.
