I was hired by another photographer as a second shooter for this wedding. It was 43 degrees celcius and the bride was 5-6 months pregnant.. but we all pulled through and had an amazing time shooting the wedding! The location shoot didn't happen due to extreme hot weather + brides pregnancy but the rest of the day was amazing!

Please let me know what you guys think. You guys can check out the album here:

Password: mjphotography

All the pictures in that album were taken with 70-200L II lens. I was told to cover this focal length while the main photographer covered 16-70mm + macro shots.

Any c&c is welcome. Oh and that website isn't complete lol.. I just started building my page with zenfolio so there's nothing else on the page except this album haha

Not bad for a first wedding.

I think you probably use your flash too often and I'm sometimes distracted by foreground elements but, overall, I think you've done well.

The major standout for me (I've looked though the whole set quickly) is that your lighting is consistently good--that's no accident; and so great job with that. I did notice some color balance issues--minor ones, especially from shot to similar shot.

I agree on the lighting being very solid. Do you use off camera flash? Perhaps bounce flash?

The only critique I could think of is some white ballance issues, this is one of my big things I'm trying to improve, so I tend to see it everywhere now :)

#1 is a fine shot but #2 doesn't do anything for me. I can't see any emotion from the couple and my focus goes to the various signs in the top left.

I am super cool n' stuff.

Love the photos--especially your candids, b&w edits, and the one focusing on details (shoes, rings, etc). There were at least two where I felt the foreground took away from the actual focus of the picture, perhaps if it didn't take up such a large amount of space. But to reiterate--you work is great and very professional otherwise.

nice job on #1, #2- shadow on him bothers me along with the fact that i can't see either expression. i also agree that the sparks are a bit more distracting than helpful to the image. good job otherwise though!

I agree with the comments on number 2. Plus the cable and signs at the back should be removed.
