Searched and searched, on here and the interwebs for reviews. Didn't see a lot, so reserving this space for that. Very excited to get this in my hands, and just in time for the Rolex 24. I really wanted a quality tripod, but also a monopod as well. Just couldn't drop the coin on a Dolica or simialar when I knew that I could find something for a little more that is a lot better. Then I found the Giottos VGR9264-MC.
From what I can tell, the biggest difference in this and the newer ones is the ballhead and QR plate. I have the Carryspeed FS-Pro plate, which has an Arca mount machined in. Hence, I wouldn't have another plate on it, But, for the deal I got, I will use the one on it for now.
So, from what I can tell, it folds up very compact, which is great for carrying around. While not the lightest, I can't justify the $$$ for a carbon right now. Easily adjustable legs with twist locks, and plenty of height with adjustability. The kicker is the one leg unscrews to mount the center column to convert to a monopod. Win win.
So, once I get it in hand and mess around with it, I will snap some pics and review it for reference. Now, the process begins. Email check, ebay check, shipment status check, USPS status check, wash rinse repeat.
