The season just kicked off last weekend here in So Cal. I wasn't there real early in the morning, but the announcer said the Cat5's that raced at 7am had their water bottles freeze up on them.

The gallery from the day could be seen here -->Ontario Series GP Race#1 (external link)

A fairly good turn out in all fields considering how early it is in the season..

Beautiful day despite the cold temps. Most riders had arm warmers, knee/leg warmers or both..

Ha Ha. :D

Great set.

Man, we JUST finished cyclocross Nationals here and now everyone is stoked for Worlds in Kentucky. Few are thinking of road racing yet although the first race is just 10 weeks away. Below zero temps (farenheit) forecasted in a few days so most are on the rollers or trainer.

Was that a buisness park type course, or city street type deal?

Thanks Biff.

Yea, I cant believe road racing started already. Its seems every year it starts a week or two earlier. I guess we're fortunate with the weather being able to ride year round. I'm not complaining.

The course is a 7 corner 1.2 mile GP around a business park. It was the first time being there and I think it was a nice layout. It does take some time for the peloton to make it around, especially in the Cat 4-5 races, but its a nice change from the four corner crits thats for sure.

Thanks for the gallery and thanks for the shots of Dan-o. His work is my favorite of all the photographers I've seen. Your work is very nice as well. Thumbs up.

Great work as always Greg. I had two jackets on and was still cold. You must have been freezing with just a long sleeve shirt. Good luck this weekend.

Thanks Danny.

I see you're getting some nice swag at your team meeting. My team seems to have taken a cut this year. :( Does MRI need another rider? I'm 35+ and can race Master's!
