So I had the chance to shoot one of my favorite rappers, Royce Da 5'9". He's signed to Shady Records, 1/4 of The Slaughterhouse and 1/2 of Bad Meets Evil with Eminem. He's one of Em's best friends actually... google him if you've never heard of him... So I shot these pics in his basement. It was so cool, he said he's never done a shoot like this, where we just did our own thing, no one telling us what to do.... a crazy experience.... here's some pics... i got WAY more.. .but i'll keep it short and sweet... i used the grey backdrop for the whole shoot, and used gels to change the colour

Did you have the same softbox on his left side? I like the lighting.

Thanks. So some shots I had a strip box on each side, but for these pics, only one. The key light was an Einstein with a gridded beauty dish.

And DagoImaging, I literally experimented with Royce with the gels.
I had my b800 set at 1/16 or 1/32 power and about 2 ft away from the backdrop and had Royce stand infront of it. It worked better than I expected.
