Hi,
Has Gangnam style Dances started in the weddings you photographed? It sure has started on mine and I have a little blog post that teaches people how to dance (of course the steps are credited to news.com.au)

Enjoy.

Yeah...that's so 2012. ;)
Hoping it's not that prevalent this year, but I have a feeling my wish won't come true.

It has been a painful time. A lot of people are going to be looking back on their wedding photos and cringing in years to come in front of their grandkids.

I expect this to be a big hit on the wedding dance floors this year. Only time will tell if it was a cool thing to do :)

I don't get it, but it certainly seems to be popular today. Although it isn't in my job description for judge, I do try to downplay those images for the couple. I generally put together 4-5 collage pages in the back of my wedding books - that is where I bury a frame or two for posterity.

Happened in a wedding I shot in November 2012. I actually like it when they dance to it. They have a lot of fun with it and that makes great pictures. I HATE the song with a passion though.

Every wedding I shoot plays it. I almost feel embarrassed for the guests.

I have to take the opposite view. If they're having a good time at THEIR wedding, who am I to judge what is cool. Jitterbug, macarena, drunken break dancing, or gangnam style - I don't care if I get good pics. At my age everybody getting married is younger than I am, and they sure have different interests. However, there's not enough beer at a monster truck rally to get me to do that crazy horse dance.
