Trust me, being from Florida you will pack it in before your camera does. Agreed, I have also been out in -30+C without any problems. I would suggest keeping a few batteries in your pockets (to keep them warm). I have also 'bagged' my lenses when coming back into a warm room. Keep an extra battery in your pants pocket and rotate them in and out often. If you go inside for a while just leave your camera outside or in the trunk. Suppose to be -35 F wind chill here in WISCO this weekend. I'll be out shooting hopefully!!! My Flickr

I have had no problems with my 5D at cold temps, my hands get to cold to be out for to long and i can't take pictures with gloves on. when i get my camera inside i just leave it sit and warm up naturally. I wait till its all warmed up before i pack it away in the bag. Prefer cooler weather but not the temps you deal with on a daily basis in winter. Heck I even put heated grips on my new motorcycle. Thinking of bringing my battery operated/heated riding vest with me..........will save on packing 8 layers of clothes Confused and Prone to Wander.........
