I've just returned from a trip to Australia. It was my first time in that part of the world, and all I have to say, what an amazing place. The birds and wildlife are so very different from what we have in North America. It was simply a great time, not to mention the weather was slightly warmer than the -15 degC we've been having since I've returned home to Nova Scotia.
Touring around Victoria, we encountered an incredible amount of marsupials. There were koalas scattered through treed side roads, wallabies bouncing all over the road, and a few grey kangaroos out in a field. Additionally, there are a quite a few conservation areas established to help restore koala populations, including Moonlit Sanctuary, which had a very nice setup for wallabies, as well.
