Not the greatest but I can definitly see the potential with my new 7D & 100-400 IS!!

It was a freezing day when I took this, the Robin was moving from branch to branch & I couldn't (didn't want to ) get my hands out of my gloves fast enough to mess with the camera controls.

C&C welcome.

It looks really soft and has no detail for some reason, did you apply any sharpening to it? Did you use too much noise reduction? Or did you miss focus... I looked at you flickr and you don't seem to be having this problem there!

The composition is excellent though.

Thanks for your comments Allan. I did apply sharpening & NR in Lightroom, still getting used to that as well!!

I agree it's not the best. This was taken on my first proper trip out with the camera & lens due to poor weather over here. The light wasn't fantastic & as I said I couldn't get my hands out of my gloves quick enough to make alterations to the settings.

I know I need more practice with the new set up but just wanted to get my first attempt out there. All of my Flickr shots were taken with my previous gear which I've been used to for the last 4 years.

Richard

I understand, I like it for what it is :) You're flickr shots are excellent. I need to get out with my 7d and 400mmf5.6 today!
