Very little snow around here, races cancelled left and right, but they pulled this one off on man made snow. A 1km, almost pan flat, ribbon of snow didn't leave many photo options, but I shot it anyway. ;) All shot with a 400mm f5.6.

Top 3 finishers in this shot. 2nd, 1st, 3rd.

Second place.

Winner winner. Won by 3+ minutes over the 11km flat course.

Yes, my sensor was dirty. Guilty! :D

My Dad is one of the guys helping to keep the snow making going there at Lapham Peak.

I think if you took the first picture, cropped it down a bit, and cloned out the guy on the left, you would have an even better image. Hope you don't mind, but I made just a quick edit to it to show what I mean.

Agreed, it is a cleaner shot. The problem is that #32 on the left won the race and I wanted to keep him in to show where he was on the start. ;) But I like what you did otherwise. :D

I like these Biff but they would all be better (imho) with a 10% soft light layer added. It would subtly increase color and contrast just enough to provide more impact.

With PHotoshop? I'll look into that. I've gotten into the habbit of just running LR.

We just got more snow today, there's a biathlon (shooting and skiing) on Saturday and other top racing going on at the WI state capitol in Madison Sat. and Sun. but I'll be stuck at work all weekend. :^(

Thanks for the input guys!
