Thankyou! I just missed out on making #3 more effective. I had taken a double exposure but later saw that a moving car on the bridge spoiled the second image :( Like you said, Boston is a place one can goto again and again and not get tired of taking pictures :)

I would love to get such well exposed dusk shots. Which double exposure blend technique was used, please?

Thanks Guys! Feels great to hear such good compliments. Don, yes that second shot is from the MIT campus, just off Mass Ave.
Mike, i didnt use any blending technique, i just exposed off the sky and adjusted the levels in photoshop to get what i wanted. But here's a nice link to blending techniques you can use Blending link (external link)

The MIT campus is a great place to shoot. Harvard is great too...especially when there's a good amount of snow and you can walk around in Harvard Yards.

Totally agree on that one Don. I love the whole vibe of Harvard/Cambridge area and the old structures would provide great photo opps. I have to shoot there sometime soon, esp when the snow is fresh.

As luck would have it, this is the warmest winter ive seen here- yet :) Only one storm till now.

No kidding bro...it's ridiculous. I want two feet of snow in 24 hours...ice hanging from trees, snow plows doing damage to sidewalks, etc., etc. All we've gotten thus far has been rain - except for that freak storm in December for which I was in sunny Florida for...I feel jipped!!!

And Daman...Harvard Sq in itself is an interesting place to shoot - especially the "pit" as it's called. The pit, if you don't know, is the area where people just hang around in. If you stand there long enough, you'll notice that you'll have skateborders, professors/education types, musicians, pot heads, homeless people, etc. all in the same 50X50 area. Now THAT makes for great captures...add the snow and faghedabowdit.

Spot on Don,that place is a Goldmine! There's so much activity going on there as you said plus lot of artists performing in the pit and one thing which i think would make nice capture is people playing chess at a nearby resturant(i forget its name).

Ive hung around that area several times but not since i got into photography- need to do that soon. Also hoping we don't get a late winter cause of all this weather(thatll cut my motorcycle riding season short as well  )

Yea, you're talking about Au Bon Pain...right outside there are chess boards. As a matter of fact, that's where they shot a scene for Good Will Hunting...the scene where Matt Damon is chatting with his girlfriend and he's explaining to her how he is a math wiz.

We should organize a Boston POTN get together in Harvard Sq...shoot the hell out of it and see what we can come up with.

Sounds like a great idea to me Don, and i think there are quite a few members in Boston/new hampshire area who can come in.. How do we get the dice rolling? Maybe start a thread in the POTN meet section?
