I am hoping to hear some feedback from 6D owners. Any buyers remorse with this body? What did you upgrade from?

My only regret was that I didn't wait for the body with kit lens to go on sale for $2499! (I really would like the 24-105L)

I upgraded from the 7D, but it's not really an upgrade as I'm still keeping it as a backup body and for reach and AF when I need it.

Just upgraded from the t2i. Initially I bought the body and left the 24-105 lens with the store (they were happy to split the kit package) as I didn't realise how much I'd miss the reach of my 24-70 when I went from APSC to FF. A week later I went back and reunited the body and lens for the kit price!

Like a lot of 6D buyers i spent the first few hours seeing how awful the AF is!! It's not. The centre AF point is wonderful. The outer points need horizontal or vertical detail in low light (very low light), but overall, I'm happy. I see you have a 7d so you may disagree but since I am more of a travel shooter and don't shoot fast moving things, I guess this camera was aimed at me.

I miss the exposure comp button on the t2i, but the Q menu access isn't too much of a problem.

Maybe I'm imagining it but, the slight fps uplift is noticeable and the UHS-1 card helps the buffer clear in no time.

BTW Adobe forced me to upgrade to Lightroom 4 (thanks guys). Life is too short to DNG the files with DPP to get them into LR.

The full frame look and feel is as good as I had hoped for.

Sorry Battleborn, to answer your question.... No regrets....

No regrets. I've been shooting with a 7D for two years and bough my 6D (my first FF body) with the intention to keep the 7D. I can't speak for anyone upgrading from a 5D II but I'm very happy with my 6D. I still got love for my 7D but would keep my 6D if I had to choose just one. I could understand other photographers descision, however, to prefer te 7D.

My only regret is I've been too busy to get out and use it!

Zero regret having upgraded from a 60D. The quality of a full frame is what I've been searching for. The features such as wifi is very convenient and is put to use with my iPhone. I don't think I could ever go back to a crop as my primary camera.

No regrets. There are some things I still like better about the 7D, but I haven't touched it since I got the 6D. Then again, I haven't been doing much shooting at all. I've mostly been having fun shooting in very low light. The 6D is amazing in that regard.

My regret is that only after buying realised that canon will be launching another
6d model version without wifi & gps. Surely that model will be cheaper and i should have waited.

From what I've read it's not that much cheaper, maybe $100 max (?). I don't care about GPS, but surely that WiFi will come in handy at some point, and $100 is not too much to pay for that capability.

I haven't seen anything directly related to that pricing, though, just forum talk.

Not that i keep up on all of this too much, but this is the first I've heard of a new 6D... Is this something that has been confirmed by Canon or just a rumor?

No regrets since I was able to return it for a full refund. 3 years ago I upgraded from a Rebel to a 5D Mark II. I knew it was more of a lateral move this time but just wasn't wowed by the camera. The IQ was about the same as the Mark II, the auto focus was better (but not substantially), the low light performance was better too, but I didn't like the noise pattern as much as the Mark II.

All in all a nice camera, but wouldn't buy again. Will eventually wind up with the 5D III.

Like Patrick above, my only regret is that I didn't get the kit.
Now I want to go get a 24-105.

I didn't upgrade. I got the 6D to compliment the 7D, which I think it does wonderfully.

The manual that comes with the 6D is also printed for the both the 6D and the 6DN and Canon states that the N version doesn't have wifi or GPS. The wifi manual is actually a separate manual with the 6D as well.

I went from a 60D, to a 6D, and ultimately to a 5D3. I was never fond of the size/controls of the 60D and should never have bought the 6D. The AF is also a letdown, though given whom Canon has intended the camera for I suppose it makes sense.

Check out my feedback here.
