I am having trouble uploading image files. When I have up loaded they are either only partly viewable or not there at all. I am using Terrapin FTP and have been for a long time with out any problems. I have tried up loading with Zilla in case my Terrapin soft ware was at fault but again the images would not up load properly. I then tried to up loading to a different server, again without success.

Any ideas as to how I can solve this problem would be gratefully received.

Colin,

We need more information to be able to help you. Where are uploading to? What type of file, JPG, tif? How large are the files? What type of connection are you using? Give us something and then maybe we can help.

Colin,
Have you uploaded to 1&1 with your current FTP program?
One & One provides some free FTP programs, can you try one of those? Due you have frontpage extensions installed on your site. If you do you can't upload FTP. Go to your control panal and check.

Most of the time when you get a partial photo image it is due to a lost packet, not resent in the process. Try one photo at a time, are you on dialup?

We get it figured out sooner or later, hopefully sooner.

Ken

Finally got my up loads sorted. A faulty power cable was contributing to the problem, although I only discovered this after deciding that the only way to fix the problem was to reinstall. I had tried all the fixes put forward on this forum and others with no joy so after taking to my ISP and still not solving the problem I reinstalled XP
