I'm not an engagement photographer however my co-worker asked me to take some pictures of her and her fiance in the morning, then my buddy asked me if I could take some pics of his lil bro and hir fiance out in the mountains afterwards.
I was a little hesitant at first but after a couple of shoots, I started to enjoy it and felt comfortable on shooting.

Here are some of my favorites
1st couple

They all look great. And I know this was not posted for critique, but the fourth one feels kind of off to me. I feel as if the way she is looking away from him is trying to ignore him or say "get out of my face". They all look super sharp, and I love the colors!

thanks all, yes I only used the Sigma 50 and 135L for the shoot, used the X100 for a couple of shots as well.

thanks for pointing that out, yes on that frame I'm getting the same feeling to, even though that was from a sequence shot and he just finished kissing her on the forehead on that one.

Solid. The backdrops are amazing. I like the ice skating theme, but I felt like you could have highlighted it a bit more. The first pass through, I didn't even notice it.

About shooting two engagements or even an engagement and a wedding the same day... I actually enjoy it. It allows me to get in the right mindset and stay there for a bit. For me, it always takes 10 to 20 minutes to really get flowing with a couple, so the more time I can spend shooting in one day, the better.
