What would you buy/carry?

I'm parting out my whole kit and going non-DSLR for a while..

Considered the RX1, x100s...

I'm a fan of the current Fuji offerings. I'd probably get an X-E1 or X100 (or the successor models) depending on how light I wanted to get on gear.

That said, I've been pretty content wandering around town with my 40D+40mm pancake.

Right now, the NEX-6 and the 2 Sigma lenses (19 & 30mm) on sale at B&H for $199. Then start collecting a complement Contax G and Leica M glass offerings. Crazy small package and better in all ways except autofocus than anything in Canon's APS-C stable at the moment.

If I didn't have a DSLR, I'd still be into RC airplanes. Sometimes, I think I should return to the planes.

Not near as frustrating and a LOT less expensive!

It's my life and I'll get pissed if I want to.

I have a rangefinder kit for when I do not use my DSLR, but rangefinders are not for the majority. If I went DSLR-less and had to stick with digital, I would go with the Olympus OM-D E-M5 or the Fuji X-Pro 1.

An OM-D, although I guess it'd be the same thing all over again, just that the lenses would be a little smaller this time round

That new Fuji x100 'upgrade' looks pretty nice, if the AF turns out to be as good as they're touting.

In order I'd look at
Film SLR, Medium format digital (Hasselblad H4D), Film Medium format Hasselblad 503, Fuji Mirrorless (They just upgraded the P&S if the trend continues whatever the X-pro 1 update is called could be enticing enough), Leica M9, Leica M& or large format 4x5 like a Graflex Speed Graphic.

I'd want something that would either let me capture that fleeting moment, or something that would slow me down and force me to get deep into thought about my images, so instead of taking 20 working a scene to share 1, take one very well thought out piece of work. I've got a roll of film sitting on my desk ready to go, I just need to locate my older SLR to put it to some use.
