Thanks for all the kind words.

I can almost picture you rubbing your hands when you saw that still water.

Dimitri, you're right, I was rubbing my hands but for different reasons. ( Bloody cold )

I decided to tone down the small cloud in the upper part of the image behind the branches.
It was a bit dark and perhaps distracting. ?!
Re-worked image below.

Wow Cameron - another stunning shot. I hope you at least take some bad ones every now and then! ;)

Loch Eck was the first place in Scotland that I ever went on holiday. It rained so much that our water supply was washed away!

Hah! I take loads of them Damian, I just don't post them. :)

On a lovely winters day it was a choice of taking in the scenery along Loch Lomond, through Arrochar, up over the Rest and be Thankful, along Glen Kinglass and down Loch Fynne to the head of Loch Eck............... Or nipping over on the ferry.

I took the longway round Dimitri. :)

I'm not sure that's such a good thing, considering how long she's been dead.

The shot is fantastic, Cameron, as are all your posts. We all truly enjoy seeing Scotland through your lens.

Thanks Stan.
Like all of the UK, Scotland has some magical scenery, when the light is right .
It's just a question of being there when the light is right and opening the shutter. :)

I spent most of the day walking through an area known as Pucks Glen just to pass the time waiting for what I hoped would be some nice light when the sun dipped behind the hills.
I wasn't disappointed with the light and, for me, this shot made the trip worthwhile.
I'm always happy if I can get just one shot I like from an outing.

Wow, wonderful composition and exposure. I love how everything blends together. Almost seems more like a painting than a photograph.

Both renditions are beautiful. Love the pastel colors and the setting.

Early evening I normally find the water with ripples. Early morn is when I get no motion on the water..Lucky you...

Not so lucky me :)....... have a look at the right hand reflections.
The loch did have some ripples and the exposure of around 1/2 sec exaggerates this.
But it's a very good point and that's why I mentioned earlier I would like a retun visit for a sunrise shot.
