Juvenile Eagle with moon BG

Captured a shot of this juvenile as it passed in front of the moon not the greatest composition but had to take what was offered. Few more shots I was able to salvage from yesterday! Thanks for lookin.

Very nice. I'm actually heading down there on Saturday. I live about 2.5 hours away so I need to chose wisely. If you are going to be there let me know. Always love meeting fellow POTN members

Will keep you posted if headin out on Saturday, I'm kinda watchin the weather see which day to head up. Might have to make Friday short work day!

Thanks Ted glad we were able to get out and shoot again hopefully we can get out this weekend!

Next time, try to get a shot of the bird with his claws outstretched just above the Moon, so it looks like he's about to grab it!

I missed you there on Monday. I spent most of my time sitting on the rocks in front of the parking lot. When the moon came out I took a bunch of shots with the moon in focus so I could blend one of the eagles in flight with the moon. But I've been too lazy to sit down and do it.

Hey Chris sorry I missed you, I'd really like to meet some fellow potn friends and be able to put some faces with the names. I'm always camo'd out you can recognize me by my neck warmer it is camo one side and hunting orange on the other. I always have the orange in but you can see the edge of it showing (glowing almost). If anyone sees me please holler at me!

Thanks Ted, I hear you with the lighting and agree its like we want the sun for helping exposure but not the harsh lighting that comes with it! Thanks for the edits and I agree with the fill lighting. I usually bring the shadow detail up in these type of shots when editing. I'll try pushing little farther and see how I like the results. Thanks again!

Still curious, did anyone else see the fish in the air just under the tail-feathers on the right in photo #5? Or am I seeing things that are not there?

Thank you...my eyesight is still working!

I thought it must be a different pass and the eagle was culling since he was at his daily limit. The fish in #3 looks to be larger than #5. But it might be an optical illusion based on the angle. It is kind of interesting to see the fish out of his/her talons after the fish was obviously drawn out of the water during the pass.
