After having recently posted regarding people using too much post processing I now find myself in the embarassing position of having to ask for some Photoshop help.
I have recently found some slides that I had tucked away. I scanned a couple and thought this may be an opportunity to try and rescue them. They are probably about twenty years old minimum.
The time I took to convert them from TIFF to JPEG and then to a size that would fit on the Forum makes it worthwhile in itself !
Should anybody care to take this on it would be much appreciated if you could tell me what you did.
Thank you.

What is it that you want to achieve with this photo. What do you want it to look like after photoshopped?

Here's a quicky I did using curves:

Basically, what I did was adjust the individual color channels as shown here:

Once I got the color as close to what I thought it should be, I applied some selective sharpening. I think the color still needs some work but I didn't have too much time to work on it.

I also straightened the horizon and cropped the image.

What? No blue sky added? ;) I never cared for "quickies" myself, but they're better than nothing. :D Nice job!

To second PhotosGuy, very nice job indeed, and thank you very much especially for the information as to how you did it.
I believe that "Quickies" are a matter of taste ?
