GL2 cracked lens question

While filming an airsoft match, my friend shot my camera's outer lens thing. The lens to my glorious Cannon GL2 x20 optical zoom camera had a crack in the lens.

This of course was the top lens. It was shot with an airsoft gun or more precisely a plastic beebee. I am wondering how you would go about repairing this yourself and how much this would cost to get repaired professionally. Keep in mind this is the outer lens and when you refer to the front of camera it says it is the UV protection lens. How much does this lens cost? It seems like it is built into the camera.

ANY info at all would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much for your time.

I'm not sure what camera you are talking about. It sounds like you are talking about the Canon GL2 video camera. If so, this is a still photography forum and video cameras aren't discussed here. You might get lucky and someone might know what you are talking about and be able to help but probably not...
