Both of these taken yesterday (Jan. 7) in frigid -22 degree weather. The first shot is first morning light through fog, and the second a little later when I spotted mist rising from a still unfrozen(!) creek.

I love them both and have never lived in anything close to that cold. Makes me wish I could jump into a car to take a few pictures and come straight home to VA. ;)

-22 C is only -8 F. Certainly not the coldest temperature seen in Virginia :)

The record lowest temperature for Edmonton Alberta is -45C (-49 F). Now that's getting a bit chilly!

It's pretty warm here, even in the "dead" of winter. It will be in the 60's during the day this week. How often do you get that in Canada? Oh, I love it down South. ;)

Probably about as often as it gets to -22 F in parts of VA. So, not often, but it can happen. The normal daytime high for January 8th in Edmonton is -7 C (19.4 F).

I can't decide which I like better... they're both wonderful! Nice job! And no blurring from the shivering!
