What's the best way to dispose of an old dslr? Is there a recycling company that could take care of the electronics properly?

I don't want to be paid any money - I just want to do the environmentally friendly thing...

Thanks.

Is there a Camera store in your area that could sell it? If not, depending on where you live, there is usually sometype of "electronics" recycling. Best Buy has a recycling program, if you have one near you, check with them.

If you are in the USA check with your local Goodwill store. Most of them are now contracted to accept all electronic devices, working or not, for recycling.

Ebay... somebody will buy it and part it out, the ultimate in recycling.

If it's Canon, someone here might buy it to take advantage of the Loyalty Program

If it still works check with a local school. They may want it for some sort of photography classes.

Save it for the canon loyalty program. Or sell it to someone on here who needs one for the CLP.

Best Buy (at least here in Pennsylvania) will take virtually anything electronic. New laws went into effect recently and you can't put anything curbside anymore.
