So my plan this weekend is to set up a remote camera over one of the goal nets this weekend or next, anyone got any tips or tricks I should know about?
the mounting point im going to use is only maybe 75-100 feet above the ice.

abruckse Senior Member More info | Jan 25, 2013 22:25 | #3 +1 on safety cables. I usually do one through the super clamp rig, and another through the camera strap. Other than that, the rest is pretty simple . Set focus w/ live view... stop down if you can for DOF. Make sure you have fresh batteries in your remote receiver/transmitter, and make sure you're not on someone else's channel. It may be overkill for some lenses, but I usually gaff tape the focus rings after I set focus to prevent any chance of creep. Andrew
