I've noticed that some online stores in Canada offer a cheaper price for a 20D but with a U.S. warranty. Under NAFTA is this U.S. warranty valid in Canada?

I know for sure that this is the case with lenses since I have bought a few from B&H and the warranty card is always for Canada and USA. Bob

Why shouldn't they have an international warranty? If you want a restricted warranty, get a Nikon. The reality is somewhat different. If you buy a Canon that wasn't imported into the US by Canon USA, they won't service it under warranty. You'll have to pay. Maybe Canon Canada will provide warranty service for any Canon bought anywhere. If so, it's the first time anyone here's had something good to say about them, after a slew of slow repairs, lost lenses, ineffective repairs, . . . Jon

If you buy grey market you either have to take a chance or purchase a third party warranty unless the store provides its own coverage. Bob
