She got a new riding jacket and wanted pictures. Taken with the 50mm 1.8. Comments welcome.

No tripod, I didn't like the background so I was trying to blur it a bit. I used "noise ninja" for processing and let the camera do the autobalance. Oddly enough, the lighting here was pretty decent-call it smoke as we've had a lot of grass fires down here, but very diffused, dirty light. The lens was opened up and shooting 400 ISO at 200. I'm such a hack at this and appreciate your comments.

I like the pose but it is soft. At f1.8 focus has to be dead on and not much else will be in focus. Could be Noise Ninja softened the face, I know Neat Image tends to do that.

Pretty lady in an interesting pose.

The softness could be a DOF issue as the "W" on the jacket looks quite sharp. You should be able to hand hold a slower shutter speed say around 1/80th of a second. This will allow a tighter aperture which will increase the DOF and allow you to get more of her in focus.
Oh, pretty lady and a smart looking jacket.
