The GBH is a shot from the rookery. The sandhill is from the back yard he about took out my lens.

Welcome to the forum Ron!
Both are real nice shots. The Heron has pretty good exposure considering the bg and the shade he is in. The Crane is such a great look in the eyes, it looks like you crossed that line he had. Its a bit hit on top and a bit shallow, maybe being that close, you did not have much time...What a look, those eyes make the shot. Hope to see more!

I was trying to get a squirrel that was eating palm nuts.The sandhill walked right up to me the neighbors feed them i guess. So, he wasnt happy I didnt have any thing for him. Had to go in the house to get away from him
