My stepdaughter works there.
I have my 5d3 and really only want to bring one lens in.
Choices are.....
24-105
17-40
70-200 2.8 II
What do you think?
Thanks

I love the 17-40 as a walk around lens, but the 24-105 should be really versatile; on FF, I'd say 24-105. I wonder if the video editors on The Titanic ever went, "Sorry, I can't right now. I'm busy synching the Titanic..."

So my vote is for your 24-105 (if you only want to take one) or also add the 17-40 for more versatility. I would take the flash anyways, because you will need it to balance the ligtht and/or for fill. Its far more important to select good seating for the shows. My two cents. 5Diii / 70-200 L IS II / 100-400 L IS II / 24-105 L IS / 100mm 2.8 L Macro IS / Σ 35mm 1.4 Art / Σ 85mm 1.4 Art / EF-S 10-22mm / EF-S 17-55mm IS / EF 70-300mm IS / 50mm 1.8 II / 600 EX RT + 430 EX II

The 24-105 would probably be the best "compromise". "The most endangered species? The honest man!' ~ Neil Peart

However for general walk around the 24-105 Since you've probably been to Seaworld and back by now, I hope if you went to the whale show you stayed well back from the front rows. Watched in shock a number of years ago a great number of people get well drenched, and felt particularly sorry for an avid photog with what looked like some pretty serious gear get thoroughly soaked - look on his face said it all. - Ken

I was to seaworld once, when I was too little to remember it. However, on the video dad shot (VHS, of course :lol I wonder if the video editors on The Titanic ever went, "Sorry, I can't right now.
