I stand corrected and it is a cooperation between Cheetahstand and Godox.

The 6000 mAh was listed over here as coming soon and I can still order it in the shops. However the firm that imports and distributes Godox in our country has taken the 6000 mAh of their site.

Just to make this clear.
We do not make 6000mAh.

I do not see need for L6000 when L9000 is already available and very affordable.

(Hint: It's L4500 with spare battery pack)

Or two L4500 connected together with three 2 into 1 cables... anyone game to try that :-)

Coincidence!
That very configuration occurred to me - immediately before I started construction of a big flashing sign which said "I'm a coward so I ain't trying it".

Phil ǁ Kershaw Soho Reflex: 4¼" Ross Xpres, 6½" Aldis, Super XX/ABC Pyro in 24 DDS, HP3/Meritol Metol in RFH, Johnson 'Scales' brand flash powder. Kodak Duo Six-20/Verichrome Pan. Other odd bits over the decades, simply to get the job done - not merely to polish and brag about cos I'm too mean to buy the polish!

The only issue I could see is if the control unit was subject to damage with voltage applied to the out put, if one battery pack was more charged than the other, however, since using a Y lead is acceptable on the one power supply, one would predict there wouldn't be any issues.

I have 2x PB-4500, each with a spare battery pack. It's a cheaper option, changing batteries is quick, and you can charge the spare while still using the other.
Few seconds down time while changing over packs is better than a more lengthy down time having to charge both at the same time.

Of cause, there may be some cycle speed advantage with parralleling 2 power supplies.

That's actually what I used to do to have an on-camera fill with the Odins. I gave it up quickly though as I found the set-up bulky for weddings. With something like the Stratos I don't need the bracket and the result is more compact.

The boomerang bracket is so light I really do not find it to be a problem and I like the flash placement better. Being able to switch to portrait and have the flash in the proper place is invaluable too.

The price difference between the 4500 and the 6000 was not par to the increase in duration. Maybe a higher mAh is planned for the 1200W/s flash Edward mentioned earlier.

@ELV, you can't use three two-in-one because the flashes are specified for one two-in-one cable only to operate.

You would probably damage you flashes permanently!

A flash wouldn't know if it is connected to a very good single power source or to two slightly weaker power sources using a two-in-one cable, or to four yet slightly weaker power sources using three two-in-one cables.

The nominal voltage is the same in all cases - the only difference is how much the voltage may sag during the initial phase of the recharge. Of course there is a diminishng return from this when it comes to recycle times. But if the battery packs doesn't have any issues to be connected like this, then the advantage would be that twice as many pops would be supported without any battery replacement.

The big issue isn't what the flash thinks about it - the big issue is if one battery pack likes to be connected to another battery pack. Especially if one battery pack is starting to go low while the other pack is still strong. When using the two ports of a single battery pack, then I don't think there can be any significant voltage difference since the same batteries are used to supply the charge.

This is FUN!

I just try 2pc L4500 with 3pc 2 to 1 cable:
Canon: 580EX Full power: 0.2sec
CL-180: Full power 0.3sec, Half power instant.
CL-360: Full power 1.1sec, Half power 0.5sec, 1/4 power instant.

Play with your risk,I test 10 pops each on this test WITHOUT SMOKE.

Cheers

Au contraire - I would suggest that Edward is one of the very few people in the Western Hemisphere who actually needs to know if this really is workable or rather inadvisable. To the vast majority, it's no more than a passingly interesting philosophical question. To the importer, it's often vital to know the limits to which the equipment they supply and guarantee can be pushed.

In theory, running 2 packs in parallel shouldn't be in the least harmful I agree. In practice, a moment's inquisitiveness could potentially prove a little costly (plus the waiting time for replacements to arrive), we simply don't know the heat-resistance tolerances to ultra-rapid recycling of the capacitors especially after a series of full-power dumps. Plus there's always the consideration as to whether we really need 'instant' recycling or an almost infinite number of cycles before battery change becomes necessary. Personally, I don't need either in my very pedestrian present-day requirements so I'll leave others to prove the theory and add to the knowledge pool on this occasion.
