Hi, just want to thank everyone for all the info in this thread.

I have a question regarding the 2 to 1 cable (the one used to half the recycle time). Instead of the Godox 960 battery, can you use the cable and hook up 2 Quantum Turbo's or 2 Dynalite Jackrabbits and safely achieve the same intended result? Or 2 of Godox's own 820 batteries?

The cable would make the physical connection.
How well it would work in practice would depend on your own experimenting.
I doubt that any of the battery manufacturers would be willing to provide warranty service if a problem resulted. :-)

studio light with T1 1/20000 sec duration ! i'm ready to buy. i also want to buy a nice newAir-Gap flash.

with all the nice Arduino based controllers for high speed photography we need some short duration flash.

An alternative is the not much known, UK made "Splash" with 1/4000 t.5 (but at all power settings) http://www.magneflash.com/splashmonorange/ (external link)

Thanks for that.. they're not only cheap but high powered and have a self contained battery. Pretty remarkable really.

Its hard to believe how tiny they are !

Do Stratos II's allow ODS timing as a receiver? Aka can you use a Stratos II instead of an Odin Rx to get full output HSS out of a CL?

Wondering if its worth it to still buy Odin Rx's given the built in Tx/Rx with the Mitros+

No. They are not capable of HSS/ODS.

Yes the Strato II will do the job with HSS and ODS just as well as the Odin RX.

The only setback is the Mitros + does not have ODS timing adjustment, so it will be about 1/3rd of a stop behind the Cells II, and nearly a full stop behind what the Odin can achieve with some ODS timing adjustment (edit - that is the same result using Odin or Strato II receivers on the CL light, the timing advantage is in the Odin TX unit).

Darn so its still worth it to get the Odin Rx for the CL's but the Odin Rx can't trigger cameras...so again we need separate Stratos. I guess since the Stratos can quickly flip groups on and off it makes them pretty versatile.

No you don't need Odin RX for the CL lights, the Strato RX will be just as good. The timing adjustment is in the Odin TX, so any compatible receiver (Strato II, Atlas II, or Odin) will do.

Shutter release is going to be separate. So you could use anything for that, but as set of Strato II, or Atlas II would work, and provide some back up flash triggers.

Great. So an Odin Rx can act as a shutter release. The issue is that I don't really need any Odin Rx's but they don't sell just the Odin TCU, so I can either get a good deal on the TCU/2Rx bundle or have to buy the single TCU/Rx and add a set of Stratos.

Now, could I use the Strato Tx in hand to quickly turn Groups On/Off while still having a TCU on camera? My experience with the Odin system is rather limited.

No the Odin can not currently work as a shutter release in any form. Only Strato, Strato II, and Atlas II.

Yes, I wonder if they may end up selling the Odin TCU separately now, or even as a set with a Mitros +.

Hey guys. With the Cells IIc, do I need to buy 2 of these, or do I buy one plus the standard set etc etc?

And do they work as a transceiver for this system?

Cells IIc is a transmitter for the CL-Rx that plugs into the Cheetah Lights.
It also has a hotshoe and can be used as a receiver for speedlites etc.

So do you need the standard RX that plugs into the USB? Or can you use 2 of these, one on the camera and one on the CL360 hotshoe?
