you guys are prob sick of questions regarding triggers

but I already have the yonguo 622c triggers, a yonguo flash and 580ex2.

i plan on getting the 360 to complement my setup. i do plan on getting ND filters for shooting outdoors, but may want to use HSS too.

is it worth getting the Cells II? or should I just stick with the yonguo?
i suppose my question is, how are the Cells 2 as triggers for normal hotshoe flashes? - does it have full TTL, HSS, rear curtain support?

(i switched from PW tt5 a few months ago to yonguo as i saw it as a cheaper option lol)

Cells II provides the FP-sync required for the Cheetah Light to fire in sync at shutter speeds greater than x-sync. There are no HSS. ETTL, or rear curtain sync capabilities.

The YN-622 provides the same capabilities. The only difference is that a YN-622 is also required on the Cheetah Light.

Also I get about 1/3rd of a stop more light with the Cells II on HSS, and staying at X-sync too because they are pretty fast sync speed.

Has anyone seen the Neewer rebranded Godox units on Amazon. I hate to give up Edward's legendary Cheetah Light service but the price on these units are really low if the units are really the same underneath. I know the old rule about if the price seems to good to be true... What am I missing.

Here is the link I'm referring to: http://www.amazon.com …8-2&keywords=neewer+pb960 (external link)

UPDATE: I looked closer at the Amazon listing and clear down at the very bottom it says the flash bulb and reflector are NOT included in the $362.49 combo price. When you add $88.95 for the flash tube, $69.95 for the remote set Edward includes, and $19.95 for the umbrella holder and reflector, you are now sitting at an apples to apples comparison price of $641.34 vs. $779.95. Cheaper, but not near so much as it appeared to be at first glance. When you factor in a seller who would sell you an incomplete flash unit without even including the flash tube I become increasingly skeptical about doing business with such a seller. They refer to a wide range of available accessories but have no prices or links to them. Hmmm...

Even though they say with battery in top description the bottom where it says package contents ?

Yep. Cheetah = Excellent reputation and amazing customer service. Other vendor = Confusing if not outright deceptive ad. Service after the sale. ???

Well this just ends up being another reminder of why it pays to deal with a reputable company if you want to actually get what you pay for.

You're perhaps missing that little bit at the bottom of the page which says "FLASH TUBE & REFLECTOR & BULB NOT INCLUDED". Now it's conceivable that they actually intend this to refer to the weight, however that requires us to make assumptions. What they actually say is that the flash tube, reflector and bulb are not included. This is an all-too-common advertising ploy where every single word is the absolute truth but arranged in such a manner not to deliberately deceive but to facilitate misinterpretation by buyers.

Another possibility is that a hidden upgrade has allowed the dumping of obsolescent stock on an unsuspecting public. I'm aware of an upgrade to the AD-180 which hasn't been trumpeted, merely introduced during normal production. Possibly the same has happened with the AD-360?

A third option is that this is "An invitation to tender"; the scenario then being that one is sold at the advertised price (to fulfil legal obligations) and then, magically, they are "out of stock". They then reappear at a new, higher price. Happens all the time simply as a ploy to generate attention.

Of course, it's also possible that it's all genuine. However, price alone is far from a good reason to buy from other than CheetahStand who have the greatest experience of the product, were involved in the development and subsequent refinement of the entire range and offer exemplary after-sales service. The alternative is to buy from the linked vendor whose major stock-in-trade seems to be fashion handbags/purses. Personally, a specialist dealer like Edward gets my vote every single time without so much as a second thought.

Phil ǁ Kershaw Soho Reflex: 4¼" Ross Xpres, 6½" Aldis, Super XX/ABC Pyro in 24 DDS, HP3/Meritol Metol in RFH, Johnson 'Scales' brand flash powder. Kodak Duo Six-20/Verichrome Pan. Other odd bits over the decades, simply to get the job done - not merely to polish and brag about cos I'm too mean to buy the polish!

Looks like Calumet fixed their cart pricing on the CL lights. Now shows them back to original pricing, so Cheetah still stands as the best option.

Not sure about the Neewer gear. Something smells fishy. After you add the basic 5" reflector, Tx/Rx Set, and Bulb I only get $539.00 There's no way they're able to mark these down $240. Maybe I'll buy their battery just to see if it arrives (and works).

Hey guys, With the Cells IIC, can you buy 2 of them, use one as an RXC and one as a TX and not use the standard FT-16 triggers, or so you need both, use the Cells II as a TX and the FT-16 USB part as an RX?
