Wow... that's awesome. Question is, why aren't there any company that makes a lithium rechargeable block that fits right into 580 or 600 speedlites? Makes charging and changing so much easier.

The problem is it still won't go straight through to the capacitor like a HV battery port.

This flash is obviously designed for no need for the HV port.

Does anyone know what the difference is between FT-16 and FT-16S ?

(I sure hope they are compatible).

Can you please show me where that is stated. From what I read, you fill out a form, wait for RMA number, send unit back. Which of course is perfectly reasonable. And by all accounts, they have excellent customer service, but I'm disputing your claim that you can get a next day replacement while under warranty.

What is your motivation for posting in this thread like that? What is going on?

It's very simple: I am not a Canon shooter, I am primarily a Nikon shooter (at least when it comes to times that I use off-camera flash). With POTN being Canon oriented it shouldn't be a surprise I don't post much on it. However, when I heard about new bare bulb flashes only place I could find extensive discussion going on about it was this thread. So it's common sense that's where majority of my posts is. If that's called being a product cheerleader I call you very very very imaginative.

Now that I have answered your question about my motivations to post here will you extend the courtesy back and answer what is your motivation for you seemingly being bent on bashing this product/vendor? Thank you in advance!

To be honest I dont venture into the Canon part of the site (lenses and bodies) too often. Just not that into it or care enough.

I still dont get why you think I am bashing. I think you either really thin skinned or butt hurt or a combo of both.

I know you havent been around this thread from the beginning but I will catch you up fast. I have never said the flash sucks, I have never said it breaks easy.
