Jesus, you are one of the few photographers here whose work always inspires me. I could not agree more with what you say ( and more importantly do) with your Cheetah lights.

I'm currently in Cancun getting ready to shoot a wedding tomorrow. I brought three of my Cheetah lights with me and they will get quite a workout as I have a very difficult lighting situation to deal with.

Thanks a lot Jcolman let me tell you i admire your work which i met in a Known wedding Forum!, i hope you enjoy your stay in CANCUN!!

Okay some people here has bought the Godox/Cheetah 360 branded with a Neewer label for a lower price so what. Is it made by the same company yes; does it have the same warranty no. If they bought it off eBay they could have got a 3 year warranty for 68.00 more backed by eBay. If you got it off amazon you got a 2 moth warranty. If they have personal article policy the insurance will replace it at cost or next compatible item.

Example 1D gets damaged beyond repair they will replace it. Since the 1D is no longer made they replace it for 1Dx. Example Neewer to a Cheetah how ever you want to take it.

New Harbor by Neewer has removed them from amazon and the ebay seller Neewer has increased their price from 338.23 to 661.95 to comply with Godox.

For those who bought them when they were cheap; I hope they work and are not damaged. For those who didn't and want to complain please take it some where else. It just seem people have to knock down other when they are up. DRAMA DRAMA DRAMA

Jesus you have some great images using the cheetah flashes and I think their inspirational.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!!!!!

Is your Dutch that bad! ;)

Already addressed by Whortleberry. I read now that the person who check the requests had to catch-up with all the requests he got from members that like to post in the Glamour and nude.

Yes

And good to hear :D

Thanks for avoiding to answer my question for a second time in a row. 'nuff said.

OK I am going to spell this out for you like you REALLY need it to be.

Where am I bashing the product, please quote, what vendor am I bashing, please quote.

I am saying I have a problem with the price.

So you have nothing intelligent to offer on actual topic and instead desperately have to resort to attempt to divert discussion you feel you are losing into personal attacks through tactic of typical psycho net forum stalkers that run for Google to see if they could dig up some dirt on person they perceive as "opponent"?

If I was to lower myself onto your level and return the "courtesy" I might find that quick Google search for photos by Adam Mazza indicates a talentless hack that hasn't mastered even a natural light yet, much less a strobe, and would be better off working on his skills than spending time mouthing off nonsense in forums or looking how to get a bare bulb at lowest possible price as that bare bulb will painfully obviously not do anything for his photography.

But I won't :)

This right here exactly sums you up. You just dont get it and have crap logic. He did not bring up your work, said that you are combative, which relates 100% to this the other does not. He obviously touched a nerve on you, so you went to this.

Come on man, do better.

That was a rather far extrapolation, and really uncalled for in a serious thread.

But when you buy a "product", you aren't just paying for a piece of hardware that you can touch but a whole package which includes warranty terms. If one distributor sells a box not covered by warranty then they are selling a different product.

OK then, they are a good product an only 2 people here out of how many have needed the warranty on this product? Lets throw out 100 people on POTN have bought it, seems fair?

I will take the risk of OVER half off the price with out warranty.

Wow, I ignore the thread for a day and come back to this ;).

Anyway, it's all good. I'll post when I either get the flash, or not, along with the outcome.

Aside from all the bickering, I want to add my 2 cents regarding the flashes. I have 1 x CL-180 and 2 x CL-360 flashes. I've had some issues with reliability, especially with the CL-180 unit. It was working fine initially but then I started to encounter strange behavior such as it turning off, then turning back on, then firing all on its own, apparently due to what I though was a bad cable. This started to happen as I was shooting a wedding. Not too good as you can imagine. Since I am still kind of in evaluation mode, I had my strobes with me so no harm no foul. But the problem is, that was like 5 weddings ago. I am still bring my strobes, just in case...

The only reason I feel it's the cable is because my one of my CL-360 unit started to go crazy on me as well. Same behavior, so I had to take that one offline too, again, during a wedding. So I was left with one CL-360 that was working.

So then I began the painful process of trying to spend time to figure out what piece is the offending piece. Obviously, chances of a CL-180 and CL-360 failing at the same time seem remote at best. So I then inspected the cables. I have 3 of course, one per flash. I noticed that one of them is labeled "Godox". That's the cable that works fine. The other 2 that are seemingly defective aren't labeled. Still, it seemed pretty remote that both cables would be defective.

So Ed sent me new cables. Guess what? Same thing. The CL-180 was acting crazy and I managed to get the CL-360 to turn itself off after a few wiggling of the cable but not to a point where I can make that happen each and every time. That's the most frustrating part. It's like dealing with a vehicle issue. When you bring it to the dealership you can never recreate the issue!!!

So I've sent Ed an email. I have faith in him. I want these flashes to work. I don't really care how much I paid for them. These are game changers in a sense that they reduce the gear I have to carry by a LOT.

Maybe I am one of the unlucky ones. At this point, I'm just tired of trying to figure out what's wrong.

Is it working fine one minuet then going crazy the next?
I hate intermittent problems that will come and go as they please. its like chasing your tail :(

did the replacement cables say "Godox"?

The replacement cables aren't labeled Godox. They are plain ones.

Yes, I am not too crazy about chasing down issues like this. Hopefully it'll get sorted out soon.
