Totally agree Whortleberry..I'd buy one in an instant.

I think that's what's called a complete redesign as it begets all the problems of marque-compatibility. Before they do that, I'd like to see:
1.The Cells IIC and the FT-16 controller integrated into a single unit - I wonder what, if anything, the FT-16S version mentioned elsewhere will offer on it's associated controller?
2.Although the current 433MHz frequency has proved satisfactory so far (and unlike certain PW models, doesn't interfere with EU emergency frequencies), a switch to the 2.4GHz band would be desirable.

The FT-16S is small/slim version of the FT-16 receiver. So no additional functionality.

They are clearly visable in the overview picture there is one at the right and see flashlight. Maybe a third one by the stairs.

Tip. If you want to find light then you have to read the shadows.

Yep. Two lights on either side of the B&G and one back by the steps.

Cheetah Lights are useful for more than weddings. :-)

Here is a finished shot and the pull back from a job we did last week.

2 CL-360 and 2 CL-180 along with cards for reflectors and gobos.

The project was to shot catalog images for a cabinet pull manufacturer.

The example here was one of the more challenging hand made designs.

But then is this the corrected mushroom? I will e-mail them about it.

Got an answer from Disnet, official importer/distributor of Godox over here.

The AD-S17 (mushroom) is expected in the beginning of December. They did not answered me to my question if it was the corrected version.

The available Cells II at Disnet are not yet compatible with the 5D MKIII.

Ah, the old "setup 10 lights, fire two" trick.

Jim

Could you have lit this photo properly with just two lights?
That first photo is postcard perfect, looks a lot like the islands!!

Happy Shooting:lol:

Marcel: At least you actually got an answer out of Disnet even if it was inconclusive. They can't even be bothered answering my several emails (could be the Dutch/English lanuage business but I doubt that given your education system) or my VAT-registered application for a business account.

Regarding the colour-correction to the Mushroom/Chinese Lantern AD-S17; it could possibly be that they weren't even aware that there had been a problem with the original. As far as I'm aware, this was a problem discovered by Edward and his customers at CheetahLight and pushed back to Godox for attention. Other suppliers may not be quite as 'in the loop' over perceived shortcomings - very few manufacturers are willing to advertise the fact that they got it wrong!

No sign of the Godox Cells IIC from the British distributors either, to save you looking. I have one and it works beautifully on my 5D Mk III - now all I need is some sunshine to HSS with. It's all very well testing something at f/1.2 but I don't necessarily want to shoot everything with no depth of field at all.

Phil ǁ Kershaw Soho Reflex: 4¼" Ross Xpres, 6½" Aldis, Super XX/ABC Pyro in 24 DDS, HP3/Meritol Metol in RFH, Johnson 'Scales' brand flash powder. Kodak Duo Six-20/Verichrome Pan. Other odd bits over the decades, simply to get the job done - not merely to polish and brag about cos I'm too mean to buy the polish!
