That's exactly what I was thinking about doing. Do you put the gels between the 2 pieces of clear plastic that come with the reflectors, or just the gels by themselves?

I was so pleased that you could write without having the CapsLock activated that many times in your previous postings.

Why you can read up on this page: http://email.about.com …Caps-Is-Like-Shouting.htm (external link)

If you don't want to retype the message again you can copy-past-press first button-copy-past by using this page: http://convertcase.net/ (external link) ;)

You can't. You can buy sheets and you have to cut yourself a round sheet that fits in the filter holder supplied with each flash.

It will take away a bit of light but not much. How much depends on if you choose full,3/4,1/2 or 1/4 CTO.

Speedring insert is a a ring that goes inside a speedring on a softbox or octa. Was not asking about a gels. ;)

Chimera 2705 - you'd have to take the insert out of the actual speedring. http://www.bhphotovideo.com …ed_Ring_for_Lumedyne.html (external link)

Photoflex version SC-B1040PR, likewise http://www.visuals.co.uk …ail.php?PRODUCTID=1010665 (external link)

Wescott 3513 - http://www.bhphotovideo.com …peed_Ring_for_Norman.html (external link)

Creative Light 100825 - http://www.aj-s.co.uk …uantum-sunpak-100825.html (external link)
(I understand that these are discontinued - there's a link by tetrode somewhere buried in this thread which refers to B+H discounting these items (US$30, if memory serves correctly)

Can't find anyone who sells JUST the insert though.

Phil ǁ Kershaw Soho Reflex: 4¼" Ross Xpres, 6½" Aldis, Super XX/ABC Pyro in 24 DDS, HP3/Meritol Metol in RFH, Johnson 'Scales' brand flash powder. Kodak Duo Six-20/Verichrome Pan. Other odd bits over the decades, simply to get the job done - not merely to polish and brag about cos I'm too mean to buy the polish!
