That's exactly what I was thinking about doing. Do you put the gels between the 2 pieces of clear plastic that come with the reflectors, or just the gels by themselves?

if i put the gel between the clear plastic..i lose power....so i don't!

You can't. You can buy sheets and you have to cut yourself a round sheet that fits in the filter holder supplied with each flash.

It will take away a bit of light but not much. How much depends on if you choose full,3/4,1/2 or 1/4 CTO.

Speedring insert is a a ring that goes inside a speedring on a softbox or octa. Was not asking about a gels.
