Give Edward at Cheetah Stand a hollar. Not sure when he is going to get his shipment but that's a lot better chance than the off shore sellers on eBay or Amazon.

Check his site. He put up some pre-orders last night at a good price and he thinks he's getting them around 12/30. Not sure if all pre-orders have been filled or not.

What do you guys think about using this with cheetah 360 cl, in a big softbox instead of Apollo type softbox. No need to buy phottix multi boom and no power loss?

Still going to need an arm or the mini boom if you want to be able to tilt

I presume you mean mount a soft box or whatever on the Bowens mount and put the 360(s) on the cold shoes. Would probably work and depending on the modifier used could tilt to a reasonable degree. Biggest question is will the mount and pivot support the weight?

That looks to be a Godox AD180 but with their own marketing logo - same as others are doing like CheetahStand

Scott, what I find humorous about the bracket is how the four speedlites are positioned in the pictures with a large octa mounted. I don't see how the octa is getting more than some spill from the lights. It would work for a PLM or Apollo but would have tilting problems as you pointed out.
With CL/AD lights I'd want to put the umbrella reflectors on for shoot through, even for bouncing into an PLM.
I have a couple of multi-speedlite brackets that are intended to do the same thing all are iffy in some situations and work in others. Only advantage I see for this one is the Bowens mount but then there is no way to get the flash tubes aimed into the modifier.

I've found this adapter now, seems good, a little worried about the stress that will be put on the hotshoe
http://profoto.com …m/rfi-speedring-speedring (external link)

But the quality seems to be worth the extra price, it also has the ability to tilt built in.
Looked at the price of Profoto rfi softboxes now, it's a bit extreme, especially for the big ones.
Does anyone know if the premium price is worth it for their products?

I thought of going with the brand called broncolor first, they are less expensive, but I couldn't find the dealer who has Speedlight adapter for their range of softboxes in stock.

That too does not really get the speedlite tube firing into the modifier so the light will bounce around. What this type bracket needs is a deflector similar to a beauty dish to bounce the light from the tubes into the moodier walls.

HERE (external link) is an article describing some of the speedlite mounting options I've found and use. The bracket that holds 4 speedlites with the body parallel to the umbrella shaft works well since the the heads can be turned toward the side walls. It wouldn't work with a speed ring soft box however.

I intend to use the cheetah lights, I believe the light from the bare bulb flash will hit the walls of the reflector?

Thanks and it's an interesting bit of information regarding mounting the regular speed lights inside a softbox!

As you could probably guess I'm in the process of figuring out a new set of lighting equipment to suit my needs.

I want to use a giraffe boom with cl 360 and smdv70 diffuser. I'm worried about the weight, cl360 +the power block is close to 1.3 kilos or 2.86lb + the weight of the diffuser, I would want to try mounting a strip softbox with it as well.

Do you think the 420b light boom by manfrotto is enough or I should buy a bigger one?
