The CL-360
Well, how often do you require/use the Einstein at full power? IIRC, the Einstein is 640 w/s while a CL-360 is 360 w/s.

Apr 24, 2014 09:20 | #4145 Looks like the power goes down to 19w on the CL-600. Is this generally low enough for indoor studio shooting? Saying in a 15x20 space? I was thinking about getting Einsteins for indoors, but already have the AD-360, and a few v850s. If I could add the CL-600s instead and use the same triggering system that would be ideal. What makes the 600 attractive is that it comes with a metal storage case, a nylon carrying bag, trigger/receiver, a aluminum metal alloy head, and separate cable. All in one self contained system. Apr 24, 2014 12:23 | #4148 19Ws of flash power is comparison to Einsteins 5. pwm2 wrote in post #16858315 19W doesn't say anything. 19W of continuous light from LED modeling light? Compared to lots of more watts from very inefficient (but warm and cozy) incandescent lamps? You need Lumen, Candela, Lux or similar to discuss modeling lamps. Or 19W required when recharging a battery pack? Doesn't tell how large the batteries are. Or what voltage the battery charger needs to supply. Or 19 Wh of battery power? Or tiny 19Ws of flash power? So in the end: 19W alone isn't enough of a figure to discuss anything about either a battery system or a flash. Canon 5Dm3, Fuji X100T, Fuji X-T1, Fuji X70

I ask because I think I've seen it referenced here that people have had issues getting an Alien Bee 1600 (20Ws) low enough for certain indoor studio situations. It's a question of what other lights you will combine it with. It is definitely low enough as main light source. But if you intend your main light source(s) to be in this range then you might want something even weaker. Our eyes can't see the absolute light level of a photo - only the relations. 5DMk2 + BG-E6 | 40D + BG-E2N | 350D + BG-E3 + RC-1 | Elan 7E | Minolta Dimage 7U | (Gear thread)
