Have you slid the battery off of the top control portion and checked to make sure the contracts are making strong contact?

Might save a trip back to Cheetah Stand.

I'm going to leave on the charger for a couple hours, then I will check the contacts.

Sound like it could be a cable issue. Try changing out ports and reconnect the cable to the 360. If the signal from the 360 don't make connection the battery pack it will shut off like it does when nothing is connected to the ports.

Ralph the S bracket and the pro mkII bracket are available now. The cl is still in testing. Get ready and start taking images of you eli stuff for sale. LOL

Since a time I wanted to use the 360 for a photoshoot today and charged the battery yesterday. Surprisingly the led on charger went green after half an hour and I connected the battery to the 960 and it gave 4 blue leds.

During the shoot the 960 was out of power in less than 200 shots and only used 5 times full power and mostly on 1/4 and 1/2 power. I put the 360 in aside and used the reserve Canon speedlight that I have as backup to photo shoots. Was a great shoot and excellent results but mostly with the backup speedlights.

At home I connected again the battery to the charger and after 30 minutes the led goes to green and after 20 seconds again to red and this repeats where the green periods keeps getting longer. I am afraid the battery pack is not 100% any more and I will receive tomorrow a new one that I bought as spare.

When the spare works as expected I will return the faulty one. I think that I have used the battery now during three shoots and some testing and the total flashed is not more than 2500 pops.

Charged the battery for a couple hours, cleaned contacts, switched cable from both ports, still no go.
Edward never called back maybe tomorrow. Have to cancel the Thursday shoot.

Edward is at the trade show right now, so I know he is pretty busy. I know if you email him he will get back to you faster then trying to call right now. Sorry to hear of your situation and hope you get it worked out. Its either the cable or the top unit that's bad. It rare that the battery is problem.

Did some more testing with the 360 and 960 after charging the battery this night.

After 50 1/1 power pops lost one led and I noticed that after each pop the red light came on telling me I can release again an then two leds drop and come on again. The duration of the two leds going dark and bright again gets longer and longer.

After 70 1/1 power pops I lost the third led and 90 pops all leds were out and the 360 and 960 stopped working. When pressing the battery test button no leds are lit.

After charging the voltage was 11.89 and now the voltage is 11.08 and I cleaned the contacts before starting the test.

This afternoon I will get the spare 960 battery and after charging I will conduct a new run to test the usability of this flash.

Don't sound good hope you find out the problem later today after testing it with your new battery.

I dig the white and black; I think it will help keep the pack cooler in the bright sun.

Over here we can only buy the signal orange one so we are used to the bright colours which doesn't bother me as long as it works.

The white would be fashionable when you have a white camera but purple....really, purple that is something from the previous century.

The fluorescent pink and lime green ones remind me of men's socks from the 1960s. What I believe they used to call "A Fashion Statement" - decide for yourselves what that statement actually was.
Specialist colours for use around Haight-Ashbury in San Francisco and in Ireland respectively??
How about a camo version - specially so you can't find it when the shoot is finished. Good for boosting replacement sales.
Alternatively, a transparent battery compartment so you can check if the battery is full without actually turning on.
