One of my CL-360s took a tumble Saturday while outside in the wind.
Flash tube broke but the light looked OK.
When I got home from the job I pulled out the broken tube and replaced it with one from another 360. Fired as expected. So...
I got on the computer and ordered a replacement tube from Cheetah. (Sunday morning.)
Got an order confirmation and then a couple of hours later an email saying order was shipped and a tracking number. ON SUNDAY!

That is customer service!!

Ed works on Sunday and his employees were off. I visited with him yesterday and he was working hard as usual! Ed use to be, one heck of an photographer! His work is displayed throughout the shop and it's simply gorgeous!!

Happy Shooting:lol:

Edward is the man I had a light stand blow over with a cl-360 and the only thing that got damaged was a cracked top control housing. It still works fantastic I called him up and asked if he had any bad units that I could buy just the housing and he said he would send me out one today.

I'm glad everyone is getting great customer service.

Edward needs to sell some sort of foam frisbee that you can put around the lightstand to protect these lights when the wind blows them down...

On a soft underground I use a tent pegs to fixate the stand to the ground. No cord only the peg.

A frisbee a nice idea but foam is difficult to fixate and the normal ones still generate too much G force but will protect the flash for direct damage hitting the ground.

When my flash fell down it landed on the power connector and the cable was as result no reliabel and more there is no replacements available in Europe.

My lights fall over because I'm too lazy or hurried to do what I've known since I started in this business 4 decades ago. Sand bags or ropes. (tent pegs are a good alternative to robes). uneven ground and wind gang up to cause problems.

For lighter flashes I use the LumoPro LP605 also for shoots in water.

Shame they used the NX photo instead of Cx - Lencarta are sometimes a little too eager rushing into 'print' without thoroughly checking everything (paper catalogues too) but other than that they are pretty reliable.

UK is still in Europe despite current political prattle over here so you'd have no duties/VAT on top of these prices.

Phil ǁ Kershaw Soho Reflex: 4¼" Ross Xpres, 6½" Aldis, Super XX/ABC Pyro in 24 DDS, HP3/Meritol Metol in RFH, Johnson 'Scales' brand flash powder. Kodak Duo Six-20/Verichrome Pan. Other odd bits over the decades, simply to get the job done - not merely to polish and brag about cos I'm too mean to buy the polish!

Found it. Good tip and this shop is run by the same person that is running the Lencarta shop in the Netherlands.

I've been wanting to try FP sync for the past couple of days using my AD360. I've never used anything else besides 580EX II for shutter speeds above sync. I couldn't get my daughter to pose so I took one of her stuffed animals outside. Shot this with a 5DIII, 24-105 at f/4, ISO 100, and SS 2000. It worked all the way to 8000 with no bars. I was using YN622c for the triggers.
Big thanks to David, Scott, Dave, Jesus, for all their contributions. Sorry for the crappy picture but this is SOOC with a little crop. The 360 was about 8ft away with the standard reflector and both diffusers on.

Some people see way too much in a picture. :-)

On another topic; The flash tubes I ordered sunday arrived in the mail today.
When I opened the package I discovered that Edward sends them in the neat aluminum tubes that are available to protect the tube while in the flash or to protect them in the case. Very nice touch.

Three Cheers for Edward!!
