really want to get one or two of these. is the optional umbrella holder that attaches to the head useful? i'm wondering if it can safely take any significant weight at all. also, what kind of modifiers are you guys using on these? curious if you're using the speed bracket, or swivel holders and umbrella-based strobist stuff.

If you scroll through the previous threads you will find that their are a ton of purchased and self made brackets. The regular strobist umbrellas work find with these units. I do not use the dedicated umbrella attachment due to wind and weight concerns. I purchased the new s-brackets and they meet all of my needs for the bare bulbs and regular flash to include the sb900's. The s-bracket cost about the same as the manfrotto metal bracket at $29.95 and they were offering free shipping!!

Happy Shooting:lol:

Yes, but not for heavy stuff. I just received this week most of the modifiers available and I like the standard reflector, the octa and the beauty dish. The s-fit bracket from Godox/Cheetah stand has problems to have the head centred. That problem is with the 360 and not with the bracket.

I commonly place Apollo type umbrella from modifiers up to 90x90cm using the umbrella mount on the head. The Phottix mini-boom that Elv designed is a very nice, not too expensive option as well. Has the advantage of holding multiple units if you want lots of light. :-)

thanks david! the phottix is a nice suggestion. the small footprint is appealing to me, and i'm debating whether to go with the phottix you suggested or the s-bracket.

marcel, could you please elaborate on your issues with the 360 and s-bracket? i like the bracket's simple design, and any help in making a choice between the two products would be appreciated. thank you!

Calumet branded ones in the UK are currently 30% off, making it £350 in total.

Can anyone confirm - really simple question for me!

To fire this light, all I need is the the light (obviously), the battery pack and the included trigger kit?
That's it?

Yes we know over here that the prices in the USA are subsidized by the people on the old continent.

Does anyone know what softbox can be used to fit 2 x these lights inside?

I notice Jesus is using 2 CL360's inside a softbox... but wondering which softbox fits 2 in?!

Thanks!
