Looking good.

Put an umbrella fitting right along side the tube to position the flash tube right in the center of an umbrella modifier. :-)

I finally ordered a cl360. Cant wait to play with it. :D

Does cheetah or anyone else offer a flash exposure chart to read fstop/ iso in full stops? just learning to use manual flash after all this time, and its a lil tricky to work without a meter.

BTW, that modeling lamp is looking tight!

The standard umbrella holder for the 180/360 will mount on the remote head

I'm not sure how you would expect to use a "chart" to replace a light meter. You only listed two of the factors that contribute to frame exposure. Besides the size of your aperture and iso, you also have to consider the total contribution of all other extraneous light, as well as the distance between the light source you wish to adjust and your subject. If the relative intensity of extraneous light is significant, then even your shutter speed can have a visually significant impact on your final frame exposure. Perhaps you should clarify how you intend to use such a "chart".

If all you want is a tabular list of f/stops to help you quickly determine how much aperture adjustment to make (in order to achieve a particular reduction/augmentation of light), here you go:

(2^0)=1
(2^0.5)=1.4
(2^1)=2
(2^1.5)=2.8
(2^2)=4
(2^2.5)=5.6
(2^3)=8
(2^3.5)=11.3
(2^4)=16
(2^4.5)=22.6
(2^5)=32
(2^5.5)=45.2
(2^6)=64
etc.

Cheetahstand CL-360 Flash Exposure Chart
Stock reflector w/o diffuser
If your using an umbrella, softbox, octa, or beauty dish you need to go two down or two over. Example: Full 1/1 power ISO 100 @8 feet using a octa = about f/13 or 1/16 power ISO 400 @ 8 feet using an umbrella = f/13

Using the prototype Transformer and the prototype remote flash head I can use modifier like that.

Scott, how would you determine how to adjust exposure settings, if the photographer wanted to position the light at a distance other than 8-feet? Say, for example, 11-feet away?

Or how would the photographer make adjustments if the shot is taken outdoors with a significant amount of ambient light, versus indoors with very little ambient light contribution? With a relatively slow shutter speed (1/200 or slower to enable proper curtain sync) ambient light may have a significant impact.

I'm not sure how the chart is going to enable proper frame exposure.

Don't you have this on a cut off T shirt for one of your models to wear?

"You have to start some where" Zack Arias

8-5 feet is my basic starting point. If its too bright I can bring the light back or just drop the power. If its not enough light I can always turn up the power or I can bring the light in closer. If I'm at 11ft I would have to use a high output modifier and your changing the quality of light.

This chart is a starting point and you need to know your gear and what it can do. If you don't know your gear this chart is not going to help you.

Ambient light does not effect the output of the flash nor does shutter speed.

Since this is only your second post and not knowing your skill set. You might need to take some basic photography class, buy Zack Arias one light DVD, or take some works shops.

If you want more accurate flash exposure then it would be best to buy/use a light meter.
