WOW NO NO NO

It might only be an 11.1v battery, but its not like a AA throw way battery. Your dealing with a lot of power in a small package. We are talking large fire or explosion. LiPo batteries can not be throw in the trash it takes a special dump. If you punchers one of the cells or over charge it will start a large fire. A class ABC fire extinguisher is not going to put it out, It will have to run its own course.

I highly recommend no one trying to mod or mess with a LiPo unless you know what your doing (pro).

This is a good reason not to post what your going to do, because other people with think its okay to do and could cause serious injury or loss.

Good point Scott!!! I hadn't thought about those without prior experience working with LIPO's reading my post and thinking this was an amateur friendly operation. I am fully aware of the fire/explosion risk that comes from a damaged pack or from overcharging. I should have thought about that before posting. Sometimes the geek kid side of me wins out over the responsible grown up side.

Everyone: A damaged LIPO, improperly handled can quickly burst into rather violent flames and burn down your house! And LIPO cells have very thin walls that are easy to puncture! Please do not ever open these packs unless you know exactly what you are doing. It is an inherently risky operation! If you make a mistake a voided warranty will be the least of your worries.

Update: These risks only come about when the factory pack is opened for modification. The battery package is perfectly safe to use and store in your home as long as the heavy outer plastic shell is not removed. I don't want people to think they purchased a dangerous item.

This is an important point when it comes to LiPo. All LiPo are LiIon, and so may burn of overheated, overcharged, punctured etc. Just that this "polymer" in LiPo compared to other LiIon variants is allowing the battery cell to be self-contained in nothing more than a thin foil bag instead of requiring a thicker shell. This saves lots of weight, an allows better fitting of the battery cells to different spaces.

This foil bag is there to make sure no water moisture reaches the lithium and starts a very violent reaction. And the foil bag is designed so an overheated cell can expand and the bag will then just unfold to allow for the expanded volume without rupture.

But the foil bag is thin. So it doesn't stand much mechanical abuse - and if it does get punctured, then you get to see what happens with lithium that reacts to the moisture in the air. Thats not something funny to see indoors, because of the smoke and heat and serious potential for flames.

Linked is a fool who thinks it isn't so serious to puncture a lipo battery:

Control all your triggers using any trigger.

Having this on a stand next to me while shooting, I can control any flash trigger. If I want HSS i put the yn-622tx on my camera and plug the yn-622 into the sync jack and fire any of the other triggers. If I just want a dumb trigger set up pictures above I can fire all the other triggers.
This setup allows me to use any of my crap triggers and better triggers to work all together without having to buy all the same or extras of just one kind.

Why on earth would anyone do this. What bothered me even more was the sound of a very young child in the background!

It is; but it works and I have a ton of old crap triggers I can use. I don't have to spend extra money on extra yn-622 or ft-16

Can't you just put the TX-16 on a HSS compatible trigger off camera? And fire all your flashes that way? It is suppose to work like this with Phottix Odins.

Finally it's here, We did not take lunch doing test until now 6.30pm CDT.

That's what we do today:
A. Fully charge the battery.
B. Put 10 set CL-360 with 2 to1 cable.
C. Use CL-TX/RX start pop at full power at 2.5 sec recycle time none stop every 2.5sec.
D 10 min in between each session full power pops.60.60.60.50.60.53.59.34.
E. only 2 set still going, the other 8 set run out of battery.we stop here.
F. Total 436 full power pops.

You do not need to run this at home to play number game...Go use the light to shoot.....If anything goes wrong, you got me here to back you up....
I only want to run this random selerct 10 sets to make sure our battery can run 400 full power pops.

Standard QC before we ship out:
fully charge battery, run none stop full power pops 60 time via 2 to 1 cable.

Now, we can go eat lunch..........Just want to report to POTN members. The Cheetah L4500 Battery are all good at this air shipment.

Cheers!! HiYa!! and YiHa!!

I don't know about the Odins but the YN-622's only pass the early fire signal for HSS through the sync port. So you have to use a sync cable even if you are firing only one other trigger. This solution just lets you fire more than one other trigger off a single 622C.

I'm always interested to hear about great value products that sacrifice a few modern conveniences for excellent performance. Happy to do more extensive reviews for other photographers who might be interested, such as the DP Merrill camera comparison - http://www.stevehuffphoto.com …ison-review-by-ben-evans/ (external link)

Well I was excited to hear about the Godox Witstro flashes. More power, better battery life and a bare bulb for a great value price. No TTL or modelling light, but I can do without those. I ordered a few, most of the modifiers/accessories and tried them out and about. Here's what I found...

Nice one, Scott. How strong was the CL-600 to blow out the entire room? I assume it was bare?

I set it full power it had to change black appliances to white. The 360 was about 1/8 power. Both units were bare no reflectors or modifiers.
