...I was being penny-wise and pound foolish buying from them instead of Cheetahatand.

At the time I purchased my AD-360 kit from Eachshot for $376 a Cheetah CL360 was selling for $699. I love dealing with Edward and have bought other things from him, but I could not justify paying nearly double for customer service alone. Now that Cheetah's prices are down to just above $500 I'll purchase any future units from them. In the mean time I'll just run my AD-360 with the Cheetah battery I just picked up.

Honest question:

Is there any reason to choose the 180 over the 360?

I am nearly set on getting a few 360s. Being that they are only $50 more (regular price) for twice the power, they seem like the obvious choice. Is there something I'm not seeing?

Nope the 360 is your better choice

I'd get the 360s.
At 128th power they are well into the range available from speedlites if you need to go even lower.
360s and 850s are a good combination.

Quick question that I could not find the answer to anywhere in this thread.

I currently own a cheetah brand 360. Will my transmitter work with any of the re-branded v850's? Or will I have to get the Cheetah brand V850 to be compatible with my current transmitter?

They are all made by Godox so all the parts will interchange with no problems.

My thoughts exactly! I just ordered another battery.

Looks like something from a 1950's Sci-Fi B movie.

It is not a ray-gun and it could not be from the 1950 if you look at the Made in China labels or stamps. ;-)a

We have a speedring which is screwed to a plate that is attached to a small pole. I assume this is for a softbox type diffuser and ant the flash is directly attached to the cage and tube on which also the CTO-bulb is fitted.

I could use the same CTO tube and sheet that I am using for the small Octa from Godox to have the implementation but then I have to take apart the Octa.

Why we got to be racist just because I'm Chinese it made in the USA. ;)

I can mount this on the Godox 19" with out having to take it apart, just slide it under the umbrella arms before screwing the lock together.

How does a bare bulb flash handle the desert?

I am thinking of taking a 360 to Burning Man.

I have seen a lot of Texas dessert pictures in this thread so I assume it works fine in Nevada. Please don't stand to close so yourself catch fire or melts your equipment.

Works in the desert, and anywhere else that has atmospheric conditions within the specifications.

Scott shots a lot in the California desert with them.

Sand is probably more problematic than temperature.
