Isn't this the same as the Cheetah 360 ?

Yes. Godox-Cheetah-Interfit-Flashpoint-Neewer and I'm sure some others are all the same Godox manufactured 360. The only difference between them is their geographical availability and reseller support policy.

A quick question for those that use umbrellas with the 360. Has anyone used a Godox S bracket (external link) with this unit and a simple umbrella? If so do you just put the reflector on after you put the flash into the bracket?

Yes.

I figured it was. It is odd that www.thephoblographer.com (external link) just released this information. Unless Adorama is just getting this and he is promoting it for them.

I have just done some testing surrounding the t.1 times for the 360 light and it's left me a bit confused... Can anyone help me figure this out.

Camera settings:

1/1000th Fuji x100
F6.4
Iso 100

Very dark room with a base exposure with no light giving me a totally black picture.

Godox on 1/1 = correct room exposure
Godox on 1/2 = correct room exposure
Godox on 1/4 = correct room exposure
Godox on 1/8 = correct room exposure
Godox on 1/16 = very under exposed

So from 1/1 - 1/16th I was getting the same output of light hitting my sensor at 1/1000th.

Reading above, I thought the T.1 times indicated that somewhere between 1/2 and 1/4 I should be getting closer to the point where shutter speed doesn't affect flash brightness?

Have al look on this page how your shutter works and you have to probably pre-sync your flash to have more exposure at shorter flash durations.

Did a quick test.
The Sony A7R will fire the Cheetah/Godox-Tx in its hotshoe.
It looks like its not completely in, but the pin and pad alien.

Good news for me. And others.

After having these for almost a year, I've decided to take them for a test drive in Nepal :)

Firing Optically

Just wondering if anyone has had any success at firing the AD360 optically?
I have just tried it in S1 and S2 modes and nothing, it wont fire at all? Even with a speedlite literally mm's away from it?

Even outside?

Without sounding stupid... Did you just press Mode until S1 appeared, then it worked?

I had BOTH my 360 lights out today, and neither of them would fire in S1 mode even with a speedlite on 1/1 power literally a few centimetres from the Red Panel

My AD180's fire just fine in S1.

Has anyone had an issue where one of the PB960 ports stops working? The side furthest to the "on/off" button has this weird problem where it can turn on the flash, but the flash won't fire. Switching cables/AD180s doesn't help. The other side functions just fine. Sticking my multimeter shows that both sides of the PB960 are giving 11.8-ish volts.

my cheetah 360s are working fine. Just did a test for you, Nikon SB-28 at 1/16 shooting through a piece of white foam core, 360 @ 6 feet away with the front panel turned away from the speedlight and hidden behind a softbox.

yes, it was as simple as putting the 360 on S1 and tripping the speedlight. TBH, placing the speedlight right in front of the 360's sensor doesn't sound like the best idea.
